Good Book,Wanted More

Overall Ashbringer was a good read. I bought it because I play the game, and enjoy the lore. I will say it should have been a six issue miniseries rather than the four it is. Some parts seemed very rushed. I guess they had to fill the space allotted or something. I liked the art, on some pages it looked sketchy while others were more polished. On some pages it was hard to define what was actually happening.(Too many dark imagines, shadows, etc.)

I would recommend this to anyone interested in warcraft lore. But you'll have more questions about the scourge and ashbringer leaving than going in. You can tell there's more before, more during, and more after, but you don't get it. You might be a little lost, unless you already know some of the warcraft lore. Like, I said, 1-2 more issues would have flushed this story out for anyone not familiar with warcraft looking for a complete read.

Epic and Excellent

Disclaimer: I am no expert in comics or comic terminology so please bear with me on some points.

I went into the pages of "Ashbringer" with moderate to low expectations, although Ludo Lullabi was an artist I enjoyed and respected, and the premise of a story based on the legendary sword Ashbringer was intriguing. What I got was more than I anticipated.

It has been said before, and I'll say it again: Ludo Lullabi's artistic style lends itself very well to the cartoonish, yet stylized artistic direction of "Warcraft". He pencils the entire graphical novel, so there is no unexpected switching of the pencillers mid-book. The greatest penciller in the world still needs a great inker and colorist in the world of colored, Western comics, and Anthony Washington delivers on this front. His computer colorwork makes each panel look almost hand-painted, and both detailed close-up pencils, and distant less-detailed pencillings look artistic and tasteful, unlike a lot of "harder-inked" comics where close-up pencils look great but using ink line sizes of the same width for far-away, distant objects makes the latter look cheap and uneven comparatively.

I was not a fan of Walter Simonson's work on "World of Warcraft Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2", but having nothing to compare it to, I accepted it. Mickey Neilson's writing in "Ashbringer" is superb: it is epic and more in tune with the writing of the "World of Warcraft" video game. After every page, I was intrigued and compelled to read more about the lore of the Ashbringer, which I could not say about "WoW Vol. 1" and "Vol. 2".

On a side note: it is time to give Lullabi more cover space on these Warcraft graphic novels, rather than guest artists who just pencil the cover.

WoW the unpaired fantasy

I have chosen this rate because I love WoW lore and this comic depict this story in a clear and involving manner. It goes deeper on some characters that I did not know the personality. This passage of the WoW lore is involving by it self, it depicts the unwavering faith and true love that is the core essense of WoW.

The only bad thing is the style of drawing in my oppinion, though I have realy liked the colors... (I would have prefered more elegant lines, more like manga, but with the colors). The drawing aside, this is a FIVE STARS.

Recomended for all the "Lore-freaks", like my self. All hail WoW \o/

With all the free reports and online resources, it's difficult to find a book that teaches and gives you solid tips for Internet Marketing or Affiliate Marketing. This book, however, is contrary to most of the reports and articles out there.

If you want to start Affiliate Marketing, it's a good idea to read this book first because it covers a glossary of expressions that are commonly used, SEO, Web 2.0 and even getting people to your squeeze page. It covers a lot of topics that are fundamental to Affiliate Marketing, plus you get tips that are actually helpful.

You'll find these tips all throughout the book and in the second to the last chapter -- Putting it All Together -- giving you advice that actually work. Once you've finished reading everything, you won't feel as though everyone in the Affiliate Marketing world is speaking another language.

This book over delivers on its promise - a "No-Nonsense Guide on How to Make Money Online", without all the hype and misleading information that you so very often find in other similar books. The information presented is well researched, and the author "tells it like it is", without providing you with false hope of making it big time with little or no effort. If you're serious about building an internet marketing business using affiliate marketing, but have either been let down and disappointed by previous expensive books and courses, and are willing to out in the time and effort that it takes to succeed, then I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the content of this book. I know that I'll be referring to it often as I continue to work on building my business.

Wasn't sure until I tried this one - glad I did

I've tried affiliate marketing in the past without a lot of success, so wasn't sure that this book would help me much with giving it another shot. However, I was pleasantly surprised. There's no fluff or filler in this book - it's obviously written by someone who knows what they're talking about and it covers (in detail) what it promised - how to get started (and be successful) in affiliate marketing. I especially appreciate that the author added sections that aren't typically covered in these kinds of books, like how to use videos and bookmarking in your efforts as well as how to deal with backlinking after Google's Penguin and Panda updates. Glad I picked this one up. It's a keeper.

Don't rent if you need an access code.

I rented the ebook for the semester. It does not come with an access code to the publisher's content (Launchpad) and Amazon won't give you one. If you need one, buy from the publisher's website directly. It's only $10 more and comes with the ebook and the access code. Now I have to pay for the book all over again on the publisher's website just to get the access code.

Good except dirty fingerprints

Was supposedly new yet inside the front and back cover it looks like someone with dirty hands was handling the book because there are clearly black fingerprints inside. The rest of the book looks in very good condition though.

About the Author
David A. Aaker is the Vice-Chairman of Prophet, Professor Emeritus of Marketing Strategy at the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, Advisor to Dentsu, Inc., and a recognized authority on brands and brand management. The winner of the Paul D. Converse Award for outstanding contributions to the development of the science of marketing and the Vijay Mahajan Award for Career Contributions to Marketing Strategy, he has published more than ninety articles and eleven books, including "Strategic Market Management, Managing Brand Equity, Building Strong Brands, " and "Brand Leadership" (co-authored with Eric Joachimsthaler).

V. Kumar is a Regents Professor, Richard and Susan Lenny Distinguished Chair and Professor in Marketing, and the Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Brand and Customer Management, and the Director of the PhD Program in Marketing at the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. He is also the first person outside of China to be named Chang Jiang Scholar, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, and Lee Kong Chian Fellow, Singapore Management University, Singapore.

Maynard Award, Davidson Award, the Sheth Foundation/Journal of Marketing for the Best Paper Award for contributing a Longterm Impact in marketing, the Robert Buzzell Award from the Marketing Science Institute, and the Gary L. Lilien ISMS-MSI Practice Prize Award. He has published over 200 articles in many scholarly journals in marketing including the Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Research, Marketing Science, and Management Science, and Operations Research. His books include Managing Customers for Profit, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Customer Lifetime Value, Marketing Research, Statistical Methods in CRM, and International Marketing Research. Requires Vast Knowledge of Statistics

I tested out of statistics, so I figured I was ok to take a class in Marketing Research. I might have been with another text book. This book assumes you have more experience in statistics than I saw on the test or in any of the elementary statistics books I studied - I was really quite lost during the sections using statistics. Otherwise, the book was ok. I liked the (generally) short chapter length, even if it meant I had to read more chapters each week than for other classes.

Sondheim fan? Wanna become one?

This book takes us musical-by-musical through some of the most famous and artistically valuable of Sondheim's musicals (the latest entry being Assassins). Each chapter looks at the musical with a critical eye (or listens with a critical ear, as the case may be) and responds to criticism about the musical in question. This is not a book simply about selling Sondheim - when the author is unimpressed, she lets us know. But Gordan finds much to admire in Sondheim's musicals, and helps us to appreciate that. Each chapter outlines in detail the plot, characters, and songs - especially useful for in-depth study. You can't get much more specific without actually taking out the libretto or following along in the score! All her arguments are well-founded and supported with examples from the text. The use of lyrics is especially appropriate. This book is especially valuable from a literary and theatrical standpoint. The observations on the music itself are correct, but not plentiful, as Gordan's expertise is in theatre, not music. Accessible to the casual audience member and the Sondheim groupie.

Good But Flawed Sonheim Book

The book provided a reasonably good review of the Broadway career of Stephen Sondheim. However, the author is too much of an avowed Sondheim fan, and tends to provide only a one-sided, superpositive view of Sondheim's oeuvre. His misses (e.g., Merrily We Roll Along) are glossed over. Still, for Sondheim devotees, this is a helpful book.

An Academic View of the Musicals of Sondheim

Of all the books currently published on Sondheim's musicals, Gordon gives the best academic treatment to his works. Mainly a formal analysis of the shows, she peppers in enough historical and biographical facts to provide any reader with a better understanding of the plays. The chapter on _Sunday_ is particularly good. It does help to be familiar with the shows before reading, as Gordon wastes little time on plot synopsis. A must for any Sondheim scholar.

Recommended reading concerning Vietnam

This is the seminal work relating to how we got ourselves immersed in Vietnam. I'm a Vietnam Veteran, and I have always thought our reasons for being there were misguided at best. In this exhaustive look at the gradual build-up to the maximum troop levels in 1969, it is apparent that our reasons were much less than misguided. It makes me angry that many good people died in this war, this senseless, stupid exercise of power gone awry. It is very sad not only that the Vietnam War occurred, it is very apparent that we fail to learn from the lessons of history (read: Iraq and Afghanistan).

"The Best and the Brightest" is an excellent work, deserving of the Pulitzer Prize awarded to Mr. Halberstam.

Even though I voluntarily served in Vietnam, I was sadly ignorant of my purpose, which was basically cannon fodder for the United States' military-industrial complex. My eyes were opened by the incredible waste of money and systematic destruction of a country I witnessed while there. But I remained basically uninformed about the politics that sent me half way round the world. For anyone who still is interested in that story, "The Best and the Brightest" is a must read.

A must-read for anyone who is interested in the Vietnam War.

This is an exceptionally well-written book about the way John F. Kennedy's idealistically selected cabinet dragged us down the muddy, dirty, twisted road and into the Vietnam conflagration. Nowhere, save in McMaster's more recent treatment (Dereliction of Duty, 1996) is the critical role of Robert S. McNamara in this debacle, so critically or accurately portrayed. About the Author

Douglas Scarrett is now retired from his last post as Director of Estate Management at De Montfort University where he was previously Deputy Head of the School of Land and Building Studies. He was joint founding editor of the Journal of Property Management and has been an external tutor for the College of Estate Management for the past 25 years.

Sylvia Osborn�is Dean of Postgraduate Studies at The College of Estate Management and has worked as a chartered surveyor in two London practices, specialising in valuation and property management. She has worked in higher education for many years, teaching on RICS accredited degree programmes and on leisure property degrees.

My class requires the access to the online myspanishlab feature that isn't free. This book didn't come with an access code so now in addition to purchasing this book which I thought would include access to that feature, I will have to spend additional money to purchase access to an online feature that should have came with the book.

This is his best work yet it finally sheds light on the big ...

I have followed Lou's work (as the poster Azrael) for years his drips have never contradicted each other and struck a chord that just made sense. This is his best work yet it finally sheds light on the big picture Lou has hinted at for years I have a lifetime of experiences both my own and what paranormal encounters those close to me have told me about and this (and the previous book year of the dragon) finally puts them into perspective, some of the events are perfectly explained in this book when they were too bizarre to previously have made sense.

Merrill interviews young marrieds and their moms to see how the marriage of adult children changes their relationship to their mothers, how mothers-in-law fit in, and how SOME women succeed in forging a strong extended family to include the new members. Skillfully weaving material from in-depth interviews with mothers, adult sons, and adult daughters, Merrill presents evidence for traditional patterns but also suggests that recent trends toward gender equality may have led to more parallel relations with adult sons and daughters. Good examples of how relationships are affected by marriages. Parental roles, sibling roles, how relationships with mothers & sons are changed especially and the role that mothers must take when sons marry was particularly poignant--in order to continue to be in your son's life. Age-old dilemmas.
